The products in Booming Bob have different organic certifications:

USDA, NSF and soon also EcoCert Cosmos which is in process.

The reason for this is that the products are manufactured in both the US and South Africa depending on where the raw materials are grown. We always try to keep production as close to the crops as possible. Read more about our certifications below.

 

USDA

The USDA is a state certification operated by the US Department of Agriculture. The authority was established in 1862 by Abraham Lincoln as a service to US farmers. Today, USDA works and regulates all kinds of products in different areas such as forests and farms to food and skin care. The National Organic Program (NOP) that controls and reviews skin care is one of the world's most stringent certification bodies. At least 95% of the content must be organic.

NSF Organic

NSF is a non-profit organization based in the United States and active in 80 countries. NSF is a world leader in developing national standards for different kinds of certifications, health and safety training and organic skin care. Founded in 1944, but started certifying cosmetics in 2009. At least 70% of the content should be organic. GMP standards must be followed.
